Machining

Relying on the resources of its parent company, SMRI, FCE has developed a workshop specialised in manufacturing and repair machining. It integrates 30 state-of-the-art machining tools which can process parts weighing up to 25 tons and can handle any machining process.

5-axis machining: at the cutting edge of technology

The machining workshop is equipped with CAD/CAM software and 3 5-axis machines:

  • A large capacity SWR boring machine (4000 mm x 1000 mm x 2000 mm / 25T).
  • One MAZAK INTEGREX horizontal machining centre 2500 mm between centre and 760 mm diameter on bench.
  • One MAZAK VARIAXIS I600 vertical machining centre (workpiece diameter 700 mm / workpiece height 450 mm).

This equipment allows us to produce complex parts individually or in series.

Machining is at the heart of our Maintenance activities and is regularly associated with mechanical engineering, valves, mechanical welding and metallisation operations.
